The Building Hope for Children Gala is going virtual. Guests can cozy up and watch in their pajamas, make it a date night, or gather table guests together on their patio, however they are comfortable celebrating.
The event will include a virtual wine tasting and dinner. It will be recorded and shared for guests and underwriters unable to join live.
For over 30 years, this annual gala has benefited Casa de Esperanza. Casa de Esperanza remains a pillar of hope for local Houston-area children impacted by abuse, neglect, homelessness, and substance abuse and for their families who look to them for hope for a better future.
The Building Hope for Children Gala will honor Dr. Shannon Hayes, Dr. Kay Motil, and Dr. Marilyn Wilking. Each has served Casa de Esperanza faithfully over the years, providing pediatric services to the children in our care, many of whom enter our program behind on immunizations or have never even seen a doctor. These dedicated community heroes have also provided much needed guidance to the organization and have been instrumental in Casa de Esperanza’s ability to safely care for children and keep staff healthy during COVID.
They will also recognize Catherine Weldon, one of Casa de Esperanza's Volunteer Community Foster Parents, as the 2021 Volunteer of the Year.
