The Carya String Quartet will host an evening of music and celebration to launch their 5th Anniversary Season: Basic Elements. The “Earth” program will pair Haydn’s beloved “Sunrise” Quartet with a foray into English Pastoralism via Susan Spain-Dunk’s Phantasy for String Quartet. This program will also include the world premiere of “Wild,” by Italian Composer Renato Miani, commissioned for the Carya String Quartet, and inspired by the Second Viennese School.
The Carya String Quartet is dedicated to providing chamber music in neighborhood concert settings accessible to all, geographically and financially. All proceeds from the night directly support the operation and programming of the quartet.
