In this interactive, livestreamed family event, the Carya String Quartet explores the history of Black composers and the various influences which shaped their works. Musical selections will include excerpts from Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s Fantasie-Stücke for String Quartet (1895) and Daniel Bernard Romain’s String Quartet No. 5, “Rosa Parks” (2006).
