Career and Recovery Resources hosts the annual Barrier Breaker Luncheon to honor local leaders and acknowledge several of the organization's star clients who have overcome personal barriers in order to achieve success. The luncheon is the organization's main fundraiser and all proceeds benefit CRR training and employment services, which include career counseling, job search preparation, intensive case management for job placement and retention, computer classes, and substance abuse treatment, prevention and education.
Career and Recovery Resources will recognize Terri and David Mendez for outstanding leadership and community service. KTRK Ch. 13 VP of community affairs Cynthia Cisneros and author and lead studio analyst for CBS Sports College Football Today Spencer Tillman will serve as emcees.
