Caracol presents Casa Madero Wine Dinner

eventdetail

The oldest winery in North America isn’t in Napa Valley, Russian River or Oregon, it’s nestled in Mexico’s Parras Valley. Casa Madero dates back to 1597 when it was started by the invading Spanish troops and the Monks traveling with them. Mexican-owned and -operated since the 1800s, the winery continues to make wonderful wines today. Daniel Milmo is a fifth generation member of the Madero family, operating as winery director and assisting in the winemaking. He also serves as the President of the Consejo Mexicano Vitivinícola, the group responsible for developing winemaking and vineyard land in Mexico.

Milmo will be at the dinner to tell guest about the complex history of wine in Mexico and to share the estate’s wines.
