The event will feature hand crafted Derby cocktails and Derby-inspired light bites. Guests are encouraged to dress in their Derby best as prizes will be awarded for Best Hat and Best Dressed. Auto Exotic Rentals has donated a day's rental in a Ferrari F430 for a raffle.
The fundraiser is part of Katie Tipper-McWhorter's involvement in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Man & Woman of the Year fundraising competition. This national campaign focuses on raising funds, awareness and advocacy for those battling blood cancers such as Leukemia and Lymphoma. The candidate who raises the most awareness and support for LLS will be announced as Man or Woman of the Year at the May 30 Grand Finale Gala, held at River Oaks Country Club.
