Brightwork CoResearch hosts "Sweet on Science" painting with bacteria workshop
A wide rainbow of colorful proteins are used by scientists in all kinds of research, ranging from imaging neurons to detecting the presence of specific traits in cells. At the start of the workshop, guests will learn about the history of proteins and the role they play in research. Then, participants will make paintings with them.
This event is like other BYOB painting classes in which you drink lots of wine with one slight difference: The paint happens to be alive. As an homage to Valentines Day, guests will also craft a bioluminescence necklace.
The workshop includes everything you need to create your own living piece of art. Limited seating available.
