This month, Friday Night Bites includes the following food trucks: Goats Mobile with southern-style cuisine; Fork N Truck with Asian and South American Cuisine; KAOW with a Cajun Asian fare; Space Lobos with El Savadoran cuisine; Pounders special hamburgers; OMG Baked Potatoes and Tu Go Kitchen with Chinese cuisine. In addition, Skye Café, A&B Wings, Falacos and Picnic on the Green will all offer a kids’ menu.

For dessert, Squeezie’s (lemonade), Grab A Cone (snow cones), N’Awlins Confections (Creole confections), N’Awlins Sneux Bowls (snow cones) and The Baker’s Man (Bundt cakes) will all be on hand. And in the Lil Chef’s Cooking Corner, Skye Café will host a making candy apples demonstration.

In addition to food and fun, this month will focus on raising funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). The Howard Hughes Corporation® is a corporate sponsor for LLS and is committed to raising $25,000 to assist in research, treatment and finding cures for blood cancer patients. Guests at Friday Night Bites will have an opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for a variety of prizes such as an autographed football by Roger Staubach and tickets to the Houston Museum of Natural Science with IMAX passes. Each person who participates in the raffle will receive a ballot to vote on a new mural in Lakeland Village Center that will be painted by local artist Anat Ronen, who also did the first mural in Bridgeland’s retail center. One of the items being raffled is a custom painting done by Anat that was designed specifically for this event. All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to LLS.

In addition, all First Responders will receive a complimentary meal.
