The documentary Weedeater follows Nance Klehm, a plant communicator and radical ecologist, who describes herself as a “steward of the earth.” Klehm is an ecological systems designer, a permacultural grower, and horticultural consultant.

Weedeater attempts to sketch Klehm’s character as well as reflect the depth and complexity of her intimate relationship with the earth and all of its inhabitants in the unique and intimate structure and style of this experimental film.

Curating the Foraged Dinner is German Mosquera, with help from filmmaker and forager Eden Batki. The five course meal will allow for conversation about the process of making the documentary Weedeater, and foraging by region. An artist and chef in her own right, Batki is self-taught and interested in home based cooking that incorporates locally sourced ingredients.
