In the Front BOX gallery, Box13 Art Space will host Sandra de la Rosa’s show “Border Theory.” Her visual representation of walls and barriers works as a metaphor for exclusion, uncertainty, containment. The spaces depicted in her work are representations of experiences felt by immigrants, including herself.

In the Back BOX gallery Milagros Collective exhibits “soft goods," which incorporates large painted textiles that will immerse the gallery in color and pattern.

Finally in the Window BOX you will find Chelsea Clarke’s show “Self-Soothe.” Her work responds to the effects of disability on her personality and studio practice. This experience intersects with queer identity and how these discrete, yet intertwining perspectives allow her to explore supposed contradictions.

Following the opening reception, the exhibits will be on display until October 1.
