Baseball fans in Houston who do will want to turn out for this three-game set over the holiday weekend. The highlight could be the Sunday afternoon game in which Josh Beckett, formerly of Spring High School and currently pitching to a 2.20 ERA in the American League, takes the mound. Carl Crawford — the Houston native and highest-paid outfielder in the game — is also hoping to come off the disabled list and play for the first time in several weeks in his hometown.

Sure, Astros fans may be reminded why they probably really don't want to see their team in the AL after this apparent mismatch of a series, but it's a chance to see what a championship-caliber team looks like.
