The evening includes live entertainment by the Grateful Geezers Band. Proceeds from the gala benefit the Blue Bird Circle Clinic for Pediatric Neurology and Clinical Research Center at Texas Children's Hospital, The Blue Bird Circle Developmental Neurogenetics Laboratory and the Rett Center at Baylor College of Medicine.

The affair honors Dr. Mark W. Kline, physician-in-chief at Texas Children's Hospital, whose efforts have doubled the number of physicians and young children seen in the The Blue Bird Clinic while increasing research protocols that promise to transform the field of child neurology.
