Jean-Claude (Gérard Depardieu) and Pierrot (Patrick Dewaere) play 20-something outsiders who spend their days harassing women and committing petty crimes. Their cavorting leads them to a frigid beautician (Miou-Miou), a sex-starved ex-con (Jeanne Moreau), and a teenager desperate to escape bourgeois life (Isabelle Huppert, in one of her first roles).
Dodging the cops, jilted women, and their own raging libidos, Jean-Claude and Pierrot are perpetually on the verge of death or imprisonment, and they don't seem to mind. The anarchic Going Places, based on Blier's best-selling novel, was a box-office smash.
The film will be introduced by Michael Zilkha, MFAH Film Committee co-chair.
