Supported by Project Row Houses’ Strategic Art Plan and Emancipation Park Conservancy, Black Love Fest is an art and music festival promoting a cultural movement for Black love.
The family-friendly event will feature programming and art/activism workshops designed to use creative acts to address issues in the community. Houston’s own DJ Elevated will be performing at the festival, which will also feature performances by other artists. While at the event, attendees have the opportunity to support local merchandise and food vendors, as well as explore the different art installations.
In conjunction with Emancipation Park’s Juneteenth celebration, the event intersects the shared goals of artistic community enrichment and the liberation of Black People with the creative, self-determined community of Third Ward.
