This original play eloquently mixes love and laughter amidst tragedy and the consequences that befall due to life choices and personal gain. Family captures the essence of how a family unit operates under distress and through tender moments. Playwright Joseph "JoeP" Palmore conveys the art of life.
In the story, the Praters have recently lost the patriarch of the family, Buddy Prater, and try to cope with grieving under the scope of meddlesome relatives and broken relationships. Maybe the only intervention that can shift their lives from further loss is the pending arrival of their newest legacy. With the widow, Mama Ruth Prater, speaking now as the head of the family, they will struggle to realize the enduring message of Buddy that, "Family, whether you like it or not, is all that you got."
