Nigerian-born and Texas-based Lanre Buraimoh received his art training from his parents — chief Jimoh Buraimoh, a celebrated bead painter, and Alake Buraimoh, the pioneer of the Adire textile and Batik — both of whom are celebrated contemporary artists in Nigeria and abroad.
Lanre Buraimoh's signature style is inspired by the beadwork of the Yoruba people of West Africa. Buraimoh's pieces reflect traditional Yoruba beliefs related to love, entertainment and unity.
