Billed as the "ultimate scavenger hunt," Katy Prairie Conservancy (KPC) presents "Bioblitz," during which participants are invited to count as many different species as possible of plants, animals, insects and fungi on the prairie in a 24-hour period. The event is designed to get people off the couch, out of the house and onto the prairie. 

"Bioblitz" takes place at KPC's preserves on Houston's west side, including Nelson Farms Preserve, Indiangrass Preserve, Hebert Preserve, Warren Ranch and Warren Lake.
