Best of Slamdance 2010: Shunka

eventdetail

Slamdance has established a reputation for premiering new films by first-time writers and directors working within the creative confines of limited budgets.

A film by CJ Gardella, Shunka explores the space between the material and spiritual worlds by looking at insects, plants, humans, animals and ghosts in a small community in the Badlands. Also on the bill is a short film, Oaks, which tells the story of Ethan Rose as he befriends the keyboardist of a silent-era pipe organ, resulting in the critically acclaimed record of the same name.
