In a world premiere benefiting the Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch, Ted Swindley Productions in association with Melanie Clark, Lanfour Productions and Carolyn Farb present Becoming Kinky: The World According to Kinky Friedman. Based on the Writings and Music of Kinky Friedman, Ted Swindley, creator of Always...Patsy Cline, gives a glimpse into the life of the iconic author, musician and philanthropist.
Becoming Kinky covers a myriad of “Kinky” topics like “Big Hair For Jesus,” “You Can Lead a Politician to Water but You Can’t Make Him Think,” and “Strange Texas Laws.” Audiences are treated to unforgettable songs such as “Marilyn and Joe” (Monroe and DiMaggio), "Get your Biscuits in the Oven (and your Buns in the Bed)" and "They Ain't Making Jews like Jesus Anymore."
