Bea Ying Projects presents Jaylon Hicks and Jenaro Goode: Music for the World to See

The title of the exhibition stems from two ideas: the similarities in the visual and auditory creative process, as well as the displaying of 30 paintings by such distinct artists in seamless harmony. Hicks' paintings are often abstractions of the human form, in expert use of organic mixed mediums like oil, wax, chalk and graphite. On the other side of the gallery, Goode’s color blocked, one-dimensional, oil paint works engage topics like sexuality and the current state of society via symbolism.

Both artists, as kindred spirits, bond in the rhythm of their creative process in unexpected ways. Their respective outlooks on life complement and boost each other further, resulting in a stimulating exhibition program.
