Bayou Preservation Association is continuing to celebrate its 50th Anniversary with its inaugural luncheon honoring Ed Wulfe and John Blount, the recipients of the Terry Hershey Bayou Stewardship Award. Each year, Bayou Preservation Association recognizes an individual or organization for demonstrating an exemplary commitment to and stewardship of a Houston-area bayou or bayous through conservation, preservation, restoration, advocacy and/or other proactive means. Wulfe and Blount’s tireless efforts to make Houston a greener place make them so deserving of this honorable award.

In honor of the nonprofit’s jubilee year, Bayou Preservation Association will begin the program with a short video of personal accounts on why Bayou Preservation members are grateful for the organization and all of its efforts. Following the presentation of the Terry Hershey Bayou Stewardship Awards, the organization will recognize Harris County Commissioners as well as deceased board members. The program will end with an overview of all of Bayou Preservation Association’s current efforts and activities. Everyone in attendance will receive and State of the Bayous report card.
