How do you measure a year? Bayou City Theatrics, Houston's newest musical theater company, asks this question through its performance of Rent on New Year's Eve. The show is staged in concert-style, allowing the audience to focus on the music by the late Jonathan Larson.

This production of Rent is a fundraiser for Bayou City Theatrics' ambitious lineup of musicals in its inaugural season, including Into the Woods, Little Shop of Horrors, Xanadu, A Chorus Line, Big River and Avenue Q.Rent features the remarkable voices of Jake Bevill, Scott Lupton, Matt Johnson, Misty Russo, Ronna Mansfield, Wendy Taylor, Bryan Burleigh, Colton Berry, Eric Briggs, Josie Arias, Crystyl Swanson, Luke Hamilton and Derrien Kellum.
