Theremin virtuoso Rob Schwimmer will share his personal stories of Clara Rockmore and her family. He will also offer a humorous theremin beginners' lesson for anyone who wishes to try their hand at this unique instrument.

The evening includes the screening of various clips of Rockmore playing the theremin, after which Schwimmer will explain the complexities of her amazing playing.

Rockmore was a musician who was trained as a violinist but became famous as a soloist on the theremin. She died in 1998 in her Manhattan apartment. Steve Martin, the director of a documentary on Clara Rockmore, said, ''Clara is to the theremin what Andres Segovia and Jimi Hendrix combined are to the guitar.''

Guests will enjoy beer and theremin lessons.
