The '70s was one of the most exciting decades of musical theater, with the emergence of Stephen Sondheim, Cy Coleman and the legendary team of Kander and Ebb. Young composers Andrew Lloyd Webber and Stephen Schwartz were beginning to make their mark.
Bayou City Concert Musicals artistic director Paul Hope presents a journey through the history of musical theater in this series of lectures. On July 10, author and assistant editor of Ballet Review, Joel Lobenthol, will make a special appearance.
