Bay Area Houston Ballet & Theatre's performance of Bye Bye Birdie is directed and choreographed by Broadway veterans Kevin Cahoon and Dontee Kiehn. The story was inspired by the phenomenon of popular singer Elvis Presley and his draft notice into the Army, much to the dismay of his adoring fans.
