The Battleship Texas Foundation will present its inaugural Spirit of Texas benefit to raise awareness and support to save Battleship Texas. The Foundation and fellow Battleship Texas supporters will present an evening of award-winning BBQ, beer, dancing, a live performance by legendary Texas Country singer/songwriter Cory Morrow, a silent auction and more.

The Foundation will also honor its inaugural Spirit of Texas honorees: Marcus Luttrell, decorated Navy SEAL and best-selling author of Lone Survivor; John P. Poindexter, a recipient of a Silver Star and two Purple Heart awards, and former United States Army Captain; and Shell Oil Company – Deer Park, which is also a Spirit of Texas sponsor and an ongoing supporter of the Foundation and its efforts.
