Battleship Texas Foundation

The Battleship Texas Foundation, in partnership with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, hosts a festival to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the commissioning of the Battleship Texas. The 2014 Festival will feature Robert Earl Keen's "A Texas Uprising" and will be held on the grounds of the San Jacinto Battleground Park adjacent to the ship.

The Battleship Texas will be open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. for public tours. The festival, which opens at noon, will also include interactive exhibits, historical zones and children's activity zones. Guests will enjoy musical entertainment by such artists as Robert Earl Keen and Reckless Kelly, food from local restaurants and gourmet food trucks, and a fireworks show to end the celebration.

TICKET INFO

$14 in advance; $20 day of the festival; children ages 12 and under attend for free. A discounted price is available for Veterans, $8 in advance; $15 at the gate. VIP tents and ship access are also available.
