Barry Whistler Gallery will present two upcoming exhibitions:
- Works on Paper, a selection of works by ten artists including Terrell James, Otis Jones, Lawrence Lee, Michael Miller, Dan Rizzie, Andrea Rosenberg, Lorraine Tady, John Wilcox, Danny Williams, and Mark Williams. Most of the works are recent, except for John Wilcox’s subtle wash of yellow on cut paper from 1995. Michael Miller will be represented by over a dozen of his 2010 collaged fabric and painted text works combining iconic imagery and written word.
- A new series of photographs by William Wegman titled Good Dogs on Nice Furniture. It is the notable New York based artist's most recent series of photographs of his clan of Weimaraners. The photographs are single and multiple images of the dogs posing on classic pieces of modern furniture by Charles and Ray Eames and George Nelson.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through August 13.
