Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation’s Ladies for Literacy Guild is hosting the10th annual Power of Literacy Luncheon. Actor and New York Times bestselling author, Tom Selleck, will be the featured speaker.
Chaired by Sidney Faust and Betty Hrncir, the theme is "Opening the Door to Literacy." Attendees will also enjoy a silent auction, raffle and special “Giving Tree” opportunity. The event will also feature a special musical performance by Saint Thomas' Episcopal School Pipe Band.
Proceeds from the luncheon will advance former First Lady Barbara Bush’s literacy legacy and support childhood literacy programs of the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation, as well as other community-based literacy organizations across Houston.
