Things are hopping in American wine country right now. Harvest is in full swing and winery owners and winemakers are stressed and beyond taxed. Fortunately for us, the completely opposite seasons of the Southern Hemisphere make our fall the perfect moment to have one of South Africa’s fantastic producers join us on for a wine dinner.

South Africa has long made wine, but the world-class quality and value of the wines they are producing today is beyond compare. Hamilton Russell Vineyards is part of this brilliant wave. A unique estate, it’s nestled far south in the stunning, maritime appellation of Hemel-en-Aarde, surrounding a quaint fishing village. Anthony Hamilton Russell took the rains in 1994 (the property was established two decades prior) and set about crafting Burgundian-style Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the cool climate. In addition to these exceptional wines, they also are going to share selections from their sister wineries, Ashbourne and Southern Right, where Sauvignon Blanc and Pinotage reign supreme. Get ready to enjoy the might of South African wine.
