Forty boys aged 10 to 18 years old will perform along with the Leipzig Baroque Orchestra under the direction of Georg Christoph Biller, Thomaskantor. On Nov. 9, the choir will present music of J.S. Bach and Vivaldi. On Nov. 10, the works of Bach, Telemann, Mendelssohn, Schumann and Reger will be on the program.

The St. Thomas Boys Choir is the oldest musical institution of Europe, having been in continuous existence for more than 800 years. Its most prominent director was Johann Sebastian Bach, who held the post from 1723 until 1750. Since 1992 Georg Christoph Biller, a former member of the choir, has been the director and the 15th successor of J. S. Bach.
