Benito Huerta: Crown of Creation is an exhibition of new and recent paintings, drawings, prints and mixed media pieces. Huerta derives visual influence from many sources, including his Hispanic background, art history, pop culture, music, movies and books. A highly accomplished artist, Huerta has exhibited work across the state and throughout the country, including shows at the McKinney Avenue Contemporary in Dallas, the Arlington Museum of Art and the National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago, among many others.
He is a BFA graduate of the University of Houston and received his MFA from New Mexico State University.
