AVDA will present its inaugural End Abuse 2017 Awareness Breakfast, featuring keynote speaker Dr. Amy Bonomi, Michigan State University Professor and Chair of the Human Development and Family Studies Department and expert in crimes involving sexual and domestic violence. AVDA will premiere a video featuring Houston Texans player DeAndre Hopkins speaking about his experience with family violence. Attendees will also hear stories of domestic abuse survivors who have overcome the obstacles that happen when dealing with family abuse. KPRC’s Khambrel Marshall will serve as the event’s master of ceremonies.
