This year the name “Home Safe Home” for AVDA’s annual gala takes on even greater meaning. For 15 years, the name has represented AVDA’s goal to make every home a safe one that is free of abuse; now, for the safety of AVDA’s patrons, the gala will be livestreamed at home, accompanied by a four-course dinner from Potente.

Home Safe Home Gala patrons will dine on a four-course dinner created by Potente’s Executive Chef Danny Trace while enjoying a virtual gala program livestreamed at home, bidding on auction items, and entering to win a Tenenbaum Jewelers $10,000 gift card. Gala patrons will pick up their meals through a contactless drive-through at Minute Maid Park on the afternoon of October 14.

During the virtual program, Dori Kornfeld Goldman, partner at Yetter Coleman LLP, will be honored with the Joseph D. Jamail Award for Justice; Tony Bradfield, owner of Tenenbaum Jewelers, will receive AVDA’s Heart of Houston Award; and the National Council of Jewish Women – Houston Section will be recognized with the Faithful Founders Award.
