Guest curator Catherine Forster will be on hand at DiverseWorks art space Feb. 6 to screen "Because the Night," a collection of short films inspired by the Patti Smith song of the same name.

Forster is a filmmaker, artist and curator at Chicago's LiveBox gallery. The collection will feature works by the artists Caleb Engstrom, Fabienne Gautier, Paulo Fernandez, Christina McPhee, Midori Sakuraï, Pierre St-Jacques, and Michael Szpakowski and explore themes such as romance, war and dreaming.
