Astros home opener vs. Florida Marlins

Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau

For one day — or in this case, evening — the Houston Astros' struggles don't matter. It's the home opener, a de facto holiday in any town. Houston only gets one home opener and it's against a Florida Marlins team packed with young talent.

Wandy Rodriguez will go to the mound for the 'Stros and his challenge will be containing a Marlins lineup that has MVP candidate Hanley Ramirez and young power hitter Mike Stanton. Houston needs to find more offense and Hunter Pence and Michael Bourn will be under pressure to produce already. This could be the smallest opening day crowd in years, which would mean more room for you.
