Assistance League of Houston presents 38th Annual Celebration of Texas Art

The Assistance League of Houston will present 60 artists at the 38th annual philanthropy event, Celebration of Texas Art 2017. Artists will be awarded $4,000 for first place, $2,000 for second place and $3,000 for third place on the Opening Night where the juror, Jose Esparza Chong Cuy, The Pamela Alper Associate Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, will also provide an information tour of the art.

The Assistance League of Houston, a volunteer group committed to serving the educational and emotional needs of children and young adults, as well as families in crisis in the greater Houston area. Celebration of Texas Art 2017, a juried art show that evolved from a simple art exhibition over 35 years ago to showcase the work of today’s artists from all across Texas.

Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through February 24.
