Asia Society Texas, the Tameez Family, and Islamic Arts Society present the fifth annual Eid Festival. Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, is an occasion of peace, joy, and festivity. People visit friends and family, give gifts, and eat sweets and delicious food.
All are welcome to join the Eid celebration. Guests can start outside on the festival lawn by eating at food trucks and stalls, watching music and dance performances, and playing games. Receive a beautiful henna design and shop at the outdoor bazaar of local artists and small business owners, then head inside to see an ebru demonstration, try calligraphy, and make arts and crafts mementos. Plus, guests will enjoy free admission to the exhibition on view, "Summoning Memories: Art Beyond Chinese Traditions."
RSVPs are requested for planning purposes. Food and drink will be available for sale.
