Musician and writer Amanda Ekery will share her new album and book, Árabe, about the shared history and culture between Syria and Mexico. Ekery and her band will perform songs from Árabe and share the stories behind each track that covers everything from food, gambling, and evil eyes to immigration law, biracial identities, and the fraught relationship between immigrant entrepreneurship and workers' rights.
