The Family Day series returns to Asia Society Texas Center for the first time in 2014 with a celebration of Nowruz, which commences the spring season and marks a new year in the Iranian calendar. Also recognized in the Balkans, the Caucasus, Central Asia and among immigrant communities around the world, Nowruz began as a Zoroastrian holiday and has since become a seminal celebration among many faiths across the Asian continent.
The festivities at the Texas Center will include art activities, performances and related interactive experiences for the entire family to learn about the Persian New Year.
