The late Houston artist Lowell Collins was known for his pre-Columbian and tribal art, a tradition carried on in the works of his son, Michael Roque Collins. A selection of pieces from father and son will be on display at Two Allen Center.
The free exhibition, titled Transmissions of Light, is curated by Sally Reynolds and presented by Arts Brookfield, the global initiative of leading commercial property company Brookfield, which invigorates the workplaces and public spaces of its premier buildings through the presentation of free arts and cultural experiences.
The exhibit will be on display January 11 through April 5, 2016. There will be an opening reception on January 28.
