Working primarily with lead covered wood, artist Steve Murphy’s designs deal with the classic elements of sculpture: form, volume, surface and edge. He aims to be non-specific in alluding to recognizable objects so viewers can find their own unique connection to the pieces.

Murphy’s latest exhibition, It’s a Conversation, will be on display at Heritage Plaza in downtown Houston. Curated by Sally Reynolds, the exhibition is presented by Arts Brookfield, which revitalizes workplaces through the presentation of free cultural experiences in Brookfield’s premier buildings.

Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through November 8. Hours are 8 am-5 pm, Monday through Friday.
