Artist Ben Butler is fascinated by the complex structures that emerge from simple and delicate processes, using this concept to create his matrix-like structures made of poplar wood. An installation of Butler’s hand-pegged three dimensional cubes will be on display at Heritage Plaza.
The free exhibition, titled Exchange, is curated by Sally Reynolds and presented by Arts Brookfield in cooperation with Rice University Art Gallery. Arts Brookfield is a global initiative of leading commercial property company Brookfield, which invigorates the workplaces and public spaces of its premier buildings through the presentation of free arts and cultural experiences.
The exhibit will be on display January 20 through May 13, 2016. There will be an opening reception on March 31.
