Join artist Johan Grimonprez as he discusses the current exhibition of his work at the Blaffer Art Museum. Presented as a "You-Tube-Theque/Petroteque," this series of experimental film essays by Grimonprez comment on the influence and consequence of the introduction and dissemination of new media — from film, video, digital imaging and sound recording, on the one hand, to theater, television and on-demand viewing at home and on the internet, on the other. The artist mixes reality and fiction in an innovative fashion and presents contemporary history from multiple perspectives.
The event takes place in the Freed Auditorium at the Glassell School of Art. The exhibition is on view at the Blaffer through April 2.
