The third Annual ARTcetera, benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, will feature more than 20 aspiring and acclaimed local artists painting live, fostering a unique opportunity to engage and discover the art-making process. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on the artwork being created in addition to an array of art pieces and packages in the silent auction. Guests will enjoy live entertainment, cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, raffles and more.

The event's honoree, David Adickes, is known for his 67-foot Sam Houston sculpture Big Sam, located just off Interstate 45 in Huntsville. He is a wonderful painter, sculptor, musician and writer, and made his living primarily through painting until 10 years ago. His oils and sculptures are displayed in ten major art museums across America and in many countries, as well as private collections.

ARTcetera III's featured artist is Shelley Shanks, in collaboration with Sergio Santos. Together, their work celebrates the hardworking people of the Texas oil industry from the movers and shakers that fight to keep Texas at the industry forefront, to the roughnecks making that vision come to fruition in the field.

Participating artists at ARTcetera include Taft McWhorter, Belinda Smith, Kenneth Pierson, Rebecca Benitez, Anna Sprage, Allan Rodewald, Jay Ferranti, Amy Collins, Cathy Beavers, Taylor Spring and Justin Hadfield.
