As part of PrintHouston 2013, the Museum of Printing History opens Washington Printmakers, a membership exchange exhibition with PrintMatters. The exhibition comprises approximately 30 pieces representing figurative and abstract work. Jurors Trudi Y. Ludwig's and Andis Applewhite's emphasis for the exhibit is to observe and bring together the best work of the Washington Printmakers artists and to show individually and collectively the expertise and talent in traditional printing making techniques today.

The works include a broad range of subject matter and style — large to small, aquatint to woodcut, abstract to figurative — the aim of which is to educate and inspire the viewer about hand-pulled prints.
