Deborah Bay
What happens when a firing pin engages a bullet, a bullet strikes a barrier of shatterproof plexiglass or a bullet pierces skin? A firestorm of controversy now whirls around the questions explored in UPSHOT X3, an exhibit presented by HCC Central Art and curated by Caslin Gregory & Associates. UPSHOT x 3 features the work of three Texas artists Deborah Bay, Donna M. Meeks and Tom Morin.
The works in this exhibition are not photojournalistic, but they are conceptual and symbolic.
