eventdetail

Food is an inherent trigger for all the senses, yet in many ways contemporary engagements with food and food issues have become increasingly visual. In Houston Center for Photography's newest exhibit, opening on Nov. 22, Natalie Zelt curates the works of 11 participating artists whose shared focus centers on food and its impact on society.

Each piece highlights our uniquely visual relationship with food, reflecting a variety of ways these photographers works inform how people picture food and see themselves. Photographers represented include Corey Arnold, Jonathan Blaustein, Christin Boggs, Damaris Booth, Nolan Calisch, Andrezej Maciejewski, Mark Menjivar, Emily Peacock, Emily Sloan, David Welch and Jody Horton.

On view through Jan. 12, 2014.
