Gallery Jatad will exhibit new work from Texas artist Oscar Guerra, who created a series of abstract mixed media works called Phrases. Each work is a constructed assembly of vertical panels that create a visually coherent message, akin to each panel being a phrase used to construct a sentence. Guerra also created a series of collages from found material with added elements of painting. These works have a surrealistic quality.

Gallery Jatad will pair Guerra's work with a selection of traditional fine art pieces from Africa. A small collection of antique dolls and selected textiles will be featured. Also on display will be figurative pieces from Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Cameroon.
