Zoya Tommy Contemporary presents Premier Cru, a solo exhibition of paintings by Houston-based artist Guus Kemp. The show opens with two receptions for the artist from 6 to 10 p.m. March 22 and March 23. There will be an artist's talk on March 23 at 2 p.m.
Born in Kerkrade, the Netherlands, Kemp was inspired by and exposed to works of numerous exceptional painters including Mark Rothko and Jasper Johns, who generated in him everlasting impressions and infinite inspiration. When surrounded by his work, he finds himself recharged by the energy that originally fueled his creative output.
On view through April 20.
